Welcome to West Florida Cycling!  The West Florida Cycling site and forum was developed for all cyclists regardless of area, club, group affiliation or skill level.  This site was designed to help complement the local club sites by allowing cyclist to interact and share information with other cyclist. 

West Florida Cycling contains helpful links to local shops, clubs, maps, events and ride information for the Tampa Bay, Clearwater, St Petersburg and the west Florida area.  Here you can also find training articles, tips, safety information, repair information and links to a variety of helpful cycling related sites.  Additional links and articles will be added over time. The site is free to use and there are no advertisements. The site was developed so registered users can participate,  provide input and content to the site in a variety of areas.

Private Messaging
Registered users have the ability to communicate by private messaging to other registered users on the site.

Event Calendar
We will post local cycling events to the Event Calendar.  Events added to the calendar can be added into categories such as Charity Event, Club Event or General Event.  Additional categories can be added as needed.  All registered members have the ability to post any event to the calendar.

Training Log
All registered users have access to the Training Log.  The training log can be used to log cycling rides, running, swimming and gym workouts.  The Training Log can be set as private or public.  The Training Log can be found in the User Menu after you register.

Photo Gallery 
All registered users can upload photos to the Photo Gallery.  There are currently 7 categories of photos consisting of Bike Photos, Charity Photos, Family Photos, Event Photos, Friend Photos, Ride Photos and General Photos. 

Links
We have posted a variety of helpful links to cycling related sites.  Clubs, cycling shops, maps, trails, etc. All registered users can add additional links as needed.

Videos
Links to a variety of cycling related video's on YouTube and misc sites.  There is also a wide variety of cycling videos posted in the forum.  Registered user can embed or add links to video's that they would like to share.

Polls
We have added a polling feature which we will update with a new Poll monthly.  Registered users will have the ability to participate in any poll.  The results of the current poll along with previous polls can be reviewed by clicking on the results button located on the Poll module.

Event Countdown
We will feature and perform a countdown to a popular upcoming event.  This can be found in the Event Countdown module located on the right side of the site.

Articles
There are various articles posted regarding cycling news, site news, training articles, etc.  Additional news added by users can be found in the cycling forum.

Local Weather
There are links on the site to the local weather for Tampa, Palm Harbor, St Petersburg, Clearwater and Sarasota with additional links to the popular weather sites.

Site Map
There is a site map located on the top menu.  This is an automated feature that is updated as new pages or links are added to the site.  The Site Map will provide you with good overview and quick links to the site content.

Site Credits
There is a Site Credit page located on the top menu.  This is an automated feature that provides information about the various features of the site and where they came from.  Users looking for detailed information on any of the features found on the site can be found in the Site Credits.The first thing you will want to do is create an account.

The registration process is free, quick and easy.  You will not see or have access to some of the features listed until you have registered and logged into the site. Once registered you will be able to post in the forum and add any public events to the calendar, upload photos, add links, and use the private messaging or access the Training Log.  Once you have registered be sure to stop by the forum and update your forum profile.  Here you can setup a signature, choose an avatar or upload your own photo or personal avatar.

This site was developed so you can share your passion for cycling, participate, share information and provide your input or thoughts about a variety of cycling topics. West Florida Cycling will continue to grow over time with additional features planned in the future.
